What are some good decorating ideas to place on top of Greek-styled pedestals?

I bought two Greek-styled pedestals at a rummage sale. I want to put them in our yet being renovated downstairs living room/family room, and I want ideas as to what to place on top of them. I also have to consider the fact that I have a very energetic and somewhat clumsy male cat, so I don't want to put any breakable objects on top of them. The pedestals themselves are heavy and sturdy so I don't think he would be able to knock them over.
