Which Soviet politicians would very likely have perished in the Great Purge if they had not died prior to 1936?

As paranoid as Stalin was, I am surprised Mikhail Kalinin (head of state) was not killed, since he was seemingly on a pedestal with Stalin, although not foficially. Jerjinsky, maybe?
