Family Guy/American Dad notice question?

I've noticed that Peter, despite being well fat, tends to kick *** in most fights he gets into, and can keep going for a long time. Stan however, is in better shape, but usually gets the tar beat out of him, and seems like he has asthma sometimes. Has anyone else ever noticed this?
