Hello Dolly the musical- is Cornelius or vandergelder the main male lead?

Is the main male lead in Hello Dolly the musical Cornelius or Horace Vandergelder and why?? Cornelius seems to do more, but Horace seems to get the title as main male lead due to his relationship with Dolly. Answers would be appreciated! Thanks.
