I have a burning sensation and black tar-like discharge?

My period is due to start any day now. It's still irregular, but it usually starts around the second week of the month. Lately I've been getting a burning sensation on the begginning of my uterus and some tar-like discharge. The burning goes away after I wipe the tar-like discharge away. Any ideas as to what's wrong?
