Is the La Brea Tar Pits enough oil for America's energy demands?

Daniel, that's funny---every time I look at the Tar Pits and see that natural gas bubbling up I wonder how much Oil and gas is still down there. As there is now a large city sitting on top of it, I doubt we will ever know. If you go back and read the history of the Signal Hill oil and gas development ( which is not too many miles south of the Tar Pits) you will find that at the time it was one of the largest oil developments in the world up until then.
