hi everyone and thank you so much for helping me out..i hope u all had a great fun weekend!! i juss have a really quick question..im trying to figure out why i have yet to get a girlfriend? i am not saying all of this stuff to brag or put myself up on a pedestal but i am just saying this to give examples of what people who i know have told me...im not a bad looking guy, im really nice, down to earth, laid back, extremely respectful, fun, spontaneous, likes to do fun things, would love a girlfriend to spend time with and spoil...but i just cannot get a girl interested i dont know why..i am not one of those guys who tries to hard, used lame pick up lines, or any of that...i juss talk and try to get to know them but i dont know i just cant do it...my friends who r girl have said they are shocked i have never had a gf and they all say the same but u know what im starting to just accept the fact that they r just saying this becuase theyre my friends...i juss dont get it lol..this one girl i had been talking to said shed love to hangout and then never got back to me and juss kinda ditched me...now shes in a relationship with this guy who basically is a bum and juss smokes weed all day..i juss feel as if i have helped out so many people and have always been willing to help others no matter what and have a huge heart and would do anything for anyone anytime..i juss dont get it..maybe im wrong but do girls not like guys like me? please be honest

Why am I so bad at MW2?

It is the only game I play, I have probably spent 20+ days playing but I don't know because I got deranked. Yet, I have around 10 kills and 20 deaths in every match I play. I even don't do well using tryhard classes like M16s and TAR-21s. I don't understand, I used to do well and drop chopper gunners all the time, but now I'm so bad I can't even shoot a guy who's not looking at me.

How to weatherproof particleboard?

I've built a large pair of speakers to use in my equally large back yard. They will be permanently installed on masonry pedestals. I used particle board because I came upon a large quantity for free. This stuff will soak up water like a sponge and turn into mush. I'm thinking of rolling on polyester "fiberglass" resin but if anyone knows of anything that might stand up to the elements better I'm interested. Cost and time are considerations - I've thought of coating them with the aforementioned resin or poly varnish and then covering them as one would a shed, with tar paper and siding but quite frankly that's too much work. Perhaps "boat people" will know of some other finish that stands up the the elements better than fiberglass resin.

About breathing and mucus on the lungs?

I used to smoke very heavy,up to 2 packs a day.I quit smoking for 6 months now on Champix....I am clean but hoping to cough out any toxins and tar etc. that is in my lunges...Nothing coming up,but they said you will lose it in your urine and stool as well over time...(not sure if that's true)but...recently my lungs feel very flemmy..Hardly anything comes up on a cough and if anything does,it's clear...I am having alot of trouble taking air in though and every time I swallow there's a small amount of mucus going down.I even wake up from my sleep needing air on occasion,then I rush out to the air conditioner and take cold air in and that seems to help alot.Does this sound like a temporary infection possibly,a cold possibly or my lungs just beaking down all the bad stuff from when I smoked,or something more serious?Thanks

Deck boards are seeping sticky pine tar?

4 years ago sealed the deck with Thompson's Water Seal. 3 years ago sealed it with Cabot's transparent stain. This year sealed it with Cabot's Semi-transparent stain. In 3 places the pine tar is still seeping out in droplets. It sticks to your shoes. Any ideas? I have tried to scrap it off- then use a solvent. that worked for a while now it is back.

I think my friend has a Signature. It plays great and sounds great. If it isn't a Signature, than it's probably a Yamaha. However, when you buy cheap instruments, they don't always sound the best and are produced rapidly for money. The FG700S is a very good quality beginner guitar with a solid spruce top and plays really well. $199 is pretty much the standard price for them. You can walk into Guitar Center and buy one for that, but you'd have to add on sales tax. If you buy one online and having to play shipping be sure you consider that. Personally, I'd buy one at a music store so you can play it first and see how it sounds. Each guitar is a bit different so it's good to play the one you're buying and have someone there who can address any setup issues or questions you have about the guitar.

Why are people so critical or concerned with my college major?

Some of the majors that you mention are "no skills" majors. By "no skills" I mean that you are not taught a marketable skill so that with just a BA it is almost impossible to get a starting position in the field even if you are a brilliant person. My original degree was in Psychology and I was never able to get a job using it. I had to get a teaching credential. I do not think that people are criticizing the major because you are not learning, they are criticizing it because you cannot easily get a job with it.

Well I'm not from the US and never been... but all I can say is to ignore ignorance. If someone treats you as if you are at the bottom of the pedestal then it is them not you who has the problem... sometimes it might be they are narrow minded but just ignore and move on... while I do agree certain places can be worse than others I would say that people should not push you out of places.... stand your ground and forget these people.

Important therapy session question?

Ok so during my last therapy session, I forced myself to be brave enough to talk to my therapist about how I have problems trusting and after we talked about that for a while, she wanted to know more in detail about what brought up the issue. Since I brought up trust, she obviously knew there was more to it. Finally I brought up transference, which is something we have not talked about before. It seems like such a big deal to me, but she talked about it like it was nothing out of the ordinary which helped at lot. I talked about what it meant to me, how my mother didn't give me enough emotional support when I was growing up, and how I always tend to seek other women who are older than me, seem like they have it together, and are successful, to kind of lean on and get emotional support from. My therapist has been a great example of this in my case. Even though I don't wish for her to be my mother, I have always wanted and wished for emotional support and comfort from her more than anyone else. I really look up to her and she is successful, caring, has a great personality and sense of humor, she loves life, is pretty, and seems like everything I wish I could be. I have tried to tell myself that I don't want her to be my friend because she's my therapist, but I definitely would want her as a friend if we were not in a therapist-client relationship. It is sometimes hard to think of the ethical boundaries that have to be respected. Anyways I told her I miss her when I am not in sessions and that I get sad after I leave therapy. I voiced my concern about telling her this because I was afraid she would become distant, not understand, or tell me to find a different therapist. But she did none of those things, and I am so thankful for that. She was just completely calm and talked to me for a long time about my fears and why I am afraid to trust. She said she might consider suggesting I try stopping therapy for a while since I am attached, but said it is probably not the best thing for me because she knows I don't have friends, and not very much emotional support from family and she said that is sad. In other words, she must know how much I need the emotional support she is able to offer me. She talked to me for a long time and one thing I remember the most is that she told me that even though I put her on a pedestal and see her as larger than life, she told me she is only human and even though she is a psychologist, she can't read my mind, so I have to tell her the things I need help with. I said I was kind of waiting for her to push me more to speak these issues and she said she has tried but it is kind of like beating it out of me. Plus she said I am an adult and it is my responsibility to bring up my issues. One other thing that really sticks in my head is she asked me why I was so scared to bring all this up and I guess I am just scared of feeling so vulnerable because my mom always ridiculed me and basically always turned everything on me to make me feel like it was my own fault for feeling bad in any situation when I cried or felt sad during my teenage years especially. She would lecture me to the point where I felt stupid for feeling any negative emotion because she made me believe it was my fault I felt bad. I feel so weird showing my true feelings to a point where I am so guarded now and I feel stupid a lot. Kind of like, I'm not normal and my feelings and thoughts are not normal when I am feeling sad or scared. My therapist told me that we are just two people talking and I love that because it kind of put the situation into perspective and helped me feel like it's not such a huge deal to bring up stuff that may feel vulnerable. When our session was over, she said that we had talked about a lot and checked in with me by asking me how I was feeling after discussing all that. My anxiety was really high the whole time but it went down the last 15 minutes she was talking so it kind of felt like something had been lifted off my chest so I could breathe again which made me feel a little dizzy and kind of like unrealistic. For some reason, I still can't believe I was able to bring those things up. I had to talk to slow at some points during our session, like putting one word after the other, just to get things out. I guess I have never opened up to a therapist about this before and a part of it seems so not a big deal when I view it outwardly, but to me, it really took courage. I want to be able to have someone in my life who I can tell anything to, and who better than her? I would just like to get to the point where it doesn't feel so scary or awkward talking about vulnerable things. I want to get to a point where I don't feel stupid. I am so happy I was able to communicate better last session and I feel like I trust her more now but I feel like I still have a ways to go as far as trusting myself. Can anyone relate to any of this?

I don't really like the M16 but it works really well for some people. If you are one of those people then go for it. The rest of the guns are great. Try the Scar in place of M4. I'm sure you feel you would succumb in part because you are feeling so bad after having a bad 6 months and this man makes you feel good. Put those feelings and thoughts about him way back in your head and remember he is married and a colleague and if you did let things go any further it would ultimately make things worse. He would be cheating on his wife and you would feel bad because you are the "other woman". Nothing good could come from this. You are currently not breaking any moral code but you are getting dangerously close...continue to do the right thing and don't have inappropriate conversations with him and keep things on a professional level. Ever since i graduated from High School I've been feeling angst and fear. I don't know how to deal with it or what to do about it. I want to cry all the time but cant find the will to cry. Maybe because it wont solve anything. Sometimes i feel happy and at other times i feel so sad that i shut my self off from everyone and everything and torment my self in my depression and sadness. I think im like this due to the fact that i don't know what to do with my life. Going into college started all this to me. First of all because i cant seem to decided what I want to do with my life even though i have declared a major. Every time that i go and look up and research my major i end up finding negative and positive information about it. So its 50 50. My parents always put me in this big pedestal and expect me to be this big person in life and be successful. Okay im with them on that but its so much pressure on me and expectations that im about to explode and just drop everything and leave. I have no outlets. Expect for my job which takes my mind off of it but only for a while. I literally stumble through life and don't know what i want. Currently im majoring in Communications with a emphasis on Public Relations and i think that's a pretty good career to go into, but in from my research I see that its 50 50. At the same time i think i cant do it because it seems in just going to school just to go to school and it seems im not getting nothing out of it. That makes me so angry with my self. Also, I want to tranfer to a four year colleg ebut that is so out of the window right nowcause i have to finish my genreal ed and transfer courses to move to the four year college i want to. Im already registered for classes next semester but i dont know if i want to keep moving in.... even though i know i must. I want to change my major but why would i throw away what i already got and start over with something new and besides i suck at math and science. That makes no sense and it would be a waste of time and money. Sigh... i guess u have to stick with this. Even though I talke to alot of my friends about and and family they seems to help alot and make me feel better but there i cant seem to ge trid of this angst and feeling of fear. My depression had led me to almost doing crazy things that will put my life at risk and die. But looking at it i dont want to because i know i can succeed but then i lower myself down and see that I cant because of how im feeling..... Im very blessed that my parents love me and havent kicked me out of the house and have a roof to live in.im just very scared at times because i dont know if i want to continue doing what im doing or just stop living in general. im very scared of life and moving on. Im tired of crying and putting myself self down all the damn time. Does my friend's 12-year-old have autism or Asperger's Syndrome?

I recently met my new friend's 12-year-old son, but I seriously thought he was 8 or 9, since he was small for his age. But I noticed that he talks alot and was talking to my husband constantly (and one-sidedly) into the wee hours of the night when we were there. He plays several musical instruments (which he is really good at) and is at the very top in honors in math at his school. He also tends to have a rich vocabulary in his speech. One thing that fascinated me was that he can figure out a rubik's cube in less than a minute! When he plays his instruments he plays one then another and another all within several minutes. He also plays with toys (figurine-type) and makes sounds with them like how a younger kid would. I've noticed that my friend is having a hard time disciplining him, as she would tell him more than once (around 3x) to do something until he finally listens. She'll also tell him constantly not to touch this or that when we all would go on outings. I'm just wondering if these are symptoms of AS or autism? If so, I wish I could somehow help my friend. How To Keep Curls In Tact Question?

In a few weeks I'm going to be in the musical "Beauty and the Beast" and be playing Belle. For the opening scene (and for most there after) I have my hair in a curly ponytail. But for the ballroom scene, (the one where they dance and the song "Beauty and the Beast" is sung), my hair is going to be most likely down. I was wondering if there was any possible way I could curl my hair so that the curls stay in tact for the scene or if there's anything I could put in my hair to make the curls stay. I only have a few minutes to change and get my hair out of a tight ponytail into having it down, so re-curling would probably not work, considering the quick change and the thickness of my hair. I think the leaf would've been cool if... They didn't call it the leaf; putting its driver up on an environmental pedestal. About 25 years ago I quit smoking by using a 4 step filter set. I can't remember the name but the color of the filters were brown. I broke up with my boyfriend of three years last night because he came forward about cheating. I could not understand why! He was not the "type" to cheat. So much pain after tonsillectomy?

A week ago yesterday I got my tonsils out. They said everything looked fine and I could go home after about an hour in the recovery room. The first two days I was really well compared to what I thought it would be like those days. Then on the third day I was in a lot of pain. It got better on the fourth and the fifth. Then the night before last I got a really really bad ear ache in both of my ears after eating dinner. I took the prescription pain killer (Tylenol with codine that I had stopped taking maybe after the fourth day) and was fine. Then yesterday I woke up with a horrible ear ache and took plain extra strength Tylenol for that. Then after I ate dinner yesterday I got a really really bad earache that didn't go away for a few hours until I took more medicine. Then last night I went to bed around midnight and woke up at one am and was in excruciating pain in my right ear with pain (although minimal) in my left ear. I started to cry and in about half an hour the pain started to die down and I went back to sleep. At four in the morning I woke up again and was in so much pain, I hoped the pain would die down like it did earlier in the night but it didn't so I took more of the perscription, but it felt like it did nothing. Then I woke up this morning at nine and was in a lot of pain again. I quickly surfed the internet for things I could do to numb the pain. I'm now icing my right ear and its working a little, I am not in as much pain as I was when I woke up but its not so little I could just forget about it. Please help, I'm only twelve going to be thirteen soon and I don't want to be in pain on my thirteenth birthday. Also, I'm starting summer camp for musical theater next week and I have to sing and dance and act, but it hurts to talk how am I going to be able to sing? Everyone says I should be talking fine because it has been more than a week but it hurts like hell! I don't know what to do?

Why am I still confused about my ex?

I broke up with my ex (first real love) two years ago, but we have been seeing each other now and then since then. Whenever he contacts me I start to get more obsessed and worried about him again. I think about him all the time, wondering what he's doing and what he's up to, and I miss his company. The problem is that he puts me on edge and makes me nervous, and we didn't treat each other very well in the past, we were still young and immature. We were very close and even now we still have some sort of chemistry, even if I don't see him for months. We have similar minds, both idealists and I love all these aspects about him, his personality and mannerisms. I used to hate him after we broke up but was always deeply attracted to him and I haven't met anyone else like him. I try to avoid him to have peace of mind and to get back to normal and not go through these crazy emotions again, but I love his company. I also can't think clearly or well around him sometimes so can't function as well I would want to with him. He has such a strong affect on me, but I don't think it is love. He's an ENTP and I am an INFP, so he's the thinking type and I'm the feeling type and I'm sometimes scared that we're not on the same level or wave-length. People tell me I'm very bright but I am still scared that he's more intelligent than me, in fact the thought of that drives me crazy, because it means that he has more power over me or something. He can also be quite intimidating when he wants to be. I just am not sure how he works. I want us to be equal. What to use to waterproof outside below grade basement wall.?

My new home has new concrete block that is sweating eye level from the inside. I dug up the outside a few feet down and noticed the problem. They started to tar ( it looks like ) about 2 feet below the ground. So right where they started to waterproof is where I have most of the sweating and wet spot on my block on the inside walls. My question is what should I use to fix the outside. I never did this before. Should I parge and tar from where they left off all the way up? Or is there some other product I can put on the wall? If I parge, what kind of concrete mix do I use? what kind of tar?

I think a nice wallpaper that you really like would work well- or at least a border. Once you have that you can move on to general accessories that go well. (Personally I love dark blue and pale yellow for bathroom colors.) And you can put a tasteful mirror above the sink (maybe chrome if that goes well with the room). And then around the sink you can get matching chrome accessories like soap dispenser or toothbrush holder. You don't want to crowd the room too much. You could also think about extending the storage place to make it more of a medicine cabinet sort of thing if you're looking for more storage.

Do not focus so much on what the guitar is made of. Concentrate on how it SOUNDS. There are so many different variations on woods that it really just becomes a matter of what sounds best to your ears. A dreadnought size would probably be best for projection and bass response. There are many great manufacturers in the price range you are seeking. Your best bet is to go to several music stores that have a large selection of acoustics guitars and try them all!

I've built a large pair of speakers to use in my equally large back yard. They will be permanently installed on masonry pedestals. I used particle board because I came upon a large quantity for free. This stuff will soak up water like a sponge and turn into mush. I'm thinking of rolling on polyester "fiberglass" resin but if anyone knows of anything that might stand up to the elements better I'm interested. Cost and time are considerations - I've thought of coating them with the aforementioned resin or poly varnish and then covering them as one would a shed, with tar paper and siding but quite frankly that's too much work. Perhaps "boat people" will know of some other finish that stands up the the elements better than fiberglass resin.

I'm doing Path to Avalon on a 360-it's my first play through. I'm stuck at the door puzzle. I cannot find the second axis for the life of me-it isn't on the pedestal in the smaller cave (nothing is on that pedestal). What do the classical contributors make of the parlous state of orchestras around the world?

Your absolutely right. It seems we live in an age where fine arts are being neglected by people in general. I love classical music and going to the orchestra. I'm also a piano teacher. One thing that may be a factor is the bad state of the economy. Many people just don't have the extra funds to go to see orchestra concerts. Also, I think people today have less sophisticated taste in music than they did even 20-50 years ago. Sad to say many would rather go see that stupid Bieber kid than listen to real music from an orchestra. In some cities there are volunteer orchestras and free concerts. So, that may be an option for some people. I live in Houston and thankfully we have pretty good support for the symphony and fine arts in our city. Along with that we have two major universities that form an enclave for support in classical music and the arts. Such as the University of Houston Moores school of music and the Rice University music department. I think the only thing we can do is try to help people be more aware of the joy and glory of classical music and the symphony. Creating more interest in orchestras and their decline may help to save them. Thanks for your post.

Is this tv good for gaming and watching standard definition tv and gaming?

I Just bought that exact tv at bestbuy for less than 500 bucks. I use it for xbox 360 and watch hd channels, so far i'm loving it. Theres a feature in the settings menu to prevent burn ins and i havnt experice any burn ins even if i play xbox for 5 hours strait using hdmi. The only problem is that its 720p. Plasma is the best when it comes to texture but if your looking for smoothnest buy an LCD. Overall I give it 8.7/10
